The Property

Luxury Country Manor House Hotel in Bath

An elegant and historic country estate regarded as one of the most beautiful country homes in the Bath area. The estate was in the hands of the Tracye family for 300 years, until it was sold to the Lord of Dyrham during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. The property that stands today was built in 1808 and was used by author Anna Sewell as the inspiration for Birtwick Park in her book, Black Beauty.

Exuding regal elegance fused with luxurious style, today The Jacobean Manor is dedicated to offering an experience of relaxation and pleasure.

Inside

  • Style: Understated luxury: four-poster beds, grand banqueting hall and sumptuous reception rooms. The honey-coloured Cotswold limestone accommodation surrounds a charming old courtyard to the rear of the manor house.
  • Bedrooms and Bathrooms: 24 luxury en suite bedrooms (12 doubles, 11 twins and one zip-link double/twin) refurbished in chic, classic style, with goose-down duvets and state-of-the-art bathrooms. Many rooms benefit from king-size or four-poster beds, double-height ceilings and free standing baths.
  • For relaxation: Relax in plump sofas by roaring fires, or roam the surrounding parkland.
  • For recreation: Situated between two championship courses, golf is the most obvious choice of activity, but all sorts of country pursuits can be organised.
